Being Humble

If you go to some fancy dinner that your friends are having, and your not exactly wearing 'appropriate' clothes everyone will be like oh-em-gee she is wearing jeans and a T-Shirt. But your friend who invited you makes you feel welcome even though she looks like she doesn't fit in but she is being humble and doesn't let anyone bring her down so she sits at a table all by herself. her friend walks up to her and sits her in the best seat. this example is the same as what God has for us. he isn't looking for the 'best Dressed' person, he is looking at our heart. as is says in the bible he who exalts himself will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. God wants us to be Humble before him and not be this person who thinks highly of themselves Because God will humble them. After all God is love and is waiting for us to Humble ourselves before Him, so that he can be exalted in what we do.

Going against the current

Today as i was driving to church(well my dad was driving)we went over a bridge with a river underneath. As i looked down onto the river, i saw this current it was no where else just this one section. So i was thinking that we do as Christians, well thats what we should be doing. Even though its hard well its meant to be hard we are not going with the world we are apart from it.

As it says in the bible in Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.

and again it says being a light Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

So when we are born again into Christians we get this light, we now go against the current of the world. yes its hard nothing in this life is easy but i can tell you it will be a whole lot easier with God as the center, because when he is the center everything falls into place. So my challenge for you is to try and go against the current because you make a difference when you do.

To be or not to be? that is the question?

To be, or Not to be? is a question that is asked all the time. Now that i have finished school, i seem to be asking that a lot. To be a teacher or not to be a teacher? I was talking to my mum on Thursday she was telling me whatever i choose i will be good at. that was a huge encouragement to be to hear that from my mother was really special. She went on saying, "what you are doing on online is something special" then these words came out of her mouth. "I think you should be a pastor." i went whoa Mum you cant be serious, but she told me something about when i was little." Not even 5 i would go up to a random person and say something to them, later on they would go to my parents what your youngest daughter said to me touched my heart. I changed them for good, i didn't know that when i was little but after mum telling me this i know it for sure. So am i supposed to be a teacher? I'm not sure yet, all i can do is hand it to God and he will make the way for me.
